Cafe 4, Knoxville, TN

I searched and searched for bread pudding reviews in Knoxville and every place I found was either closed or no longer serving it. Quel Surprise! I went to Cafe 4 for dinner, resigned to having to choose another dessert and lo and behold, a peach bread pudding! The peach helped me forgive them the gelatinous texture. I would have liked more than the sparse custard to bind the bread. Somehow that made it a bit gummy. But it was s solid 3.

Welcome Bread Pudding Lovers!

I rarely make BP, but I seek it. If I made it, I'd eat it all so this is the best way I can indulge, one portion at a time.

The rating system goes from one BP fork or thingy (yuck) to four BP (divine) forks or thingies (thingies were predecessors to the forks system).

Note: I do NOT like raisins in my BP, particularly those sneaky yellow raisins, so I'll make it clear if raisins, nuts or other accessories are in the BP.

Another preference is that I feel BP should stand alone. If it needs sauce, ice cream, whipped cream, etc., then it gets a lower rating. If those extras are just extras and the BP is good all by itself, I'll indicate that.
