Leon's, Decatur, GA

First, I was pleasantly surprised that this fancy place priced BP at $5.00. It's so fancy this was banana rye-whiskey praline bread pudding. Now, since I usually get my BP to go, I often lose the nuances of the flavors. It reminds me of one of my mother's favorite places in DC, Colonel Brooks Tavern, where they served different flavors of creme brulee but they all tasted the same. While I may not have a sensitive enough palate for the rye-whiskey, every bit of the offering was phenomenal!

The BP was toasted, which I always like. The banana flavor was light, and the texture was firm. Something strange seems to happen with bananas, in that they turn spongy and its like the flavor leaches out. Good for the BP, not so good for those banana remnants.

The real whipped cream...enough said. Y'all know I'm not a sauce fiend but the praline caramel sauce was divine.

Price: $5.00
Raisins: No
Sauce: Allegedly rye-whiskey praline
Ice cream: Nope, but real whipped cream
